NBC Weatherman Al Roker was working the inaugural parade route and got President Obama to give him a thumbs up and Joe Biden ran over to give the TV personality a hand shake.

“To have been acknowledged by the President and Vice President on a day honoring the man that made that possible is that much more special,” he tweeted.

NBC Newscasters kidded Roker with getting the first interview as the president walked by. When asked “How’s it going?” He responded with a thumbs up and said,”Alright.”  He also commented on the weather.

After Roker gets the attention of the two world leaders, Brian Williams calls him NBC’s new “Chief White House Correspondent.”
