Jennifer Lawrence To Lindsay Lohan: You Just Don’t Get It

True

Jennifer Lawrence is setting the record straight on rumors that she dissed Meryl Streep during the Golden Globes. As RumorFix first reported, the actress was hammered online after saying during her acceptance speech for Best Actress, “What does it say? ‘I beat Meryl!’”

Lindsay Lohan was one of the first people to slam Lawrence for the comments, tweeting: “no one should ever mess with a legend, such as Meryl Streep.”

Turns out, Lawrence wasn’t exactly dissing Streep, but paying homage to a classic Hollywood film. Still, the talented young actress told David Letterman on his Late Show Tuesday night she was shocked by the criticism.

“I was like, is that what this turned into? I don’t like Meryl Streep?” she said. “As if I’ve had my eyes on getting that girl forever and I was like, ‘Finally! I knew it would happen one day!’” Lawrence added, that like the rest of us, Streep is her favorite actress on this planet.

The “I beat Meryl” remark was simply a reference to the 90s film, “The First Wives Club,” as we clarified on Monday.

there is was no greater disrespect than that lush Lindsay lohan attempting to play the legendary and iconic Liz Taylor. If Lindsay had one ounce of sense she should have known that no one can play liz and for LL to even compare their lives is disgusting. Bad enough LL thought she could pull off Marilyn Monroe but Liz. unforgiveable (Oh and Lindsay give Liz’s bracelet back to the owner and fix the trailer that was lent to you that was once used by Liz and you trashed)
