TV personality and ESPN SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott has revealed that he’s battling cancer. Scott, who has been the face of the network for over a decade, says that he will undergo chemotherapy to treat a recurrence of stomach cancer.
“I’m back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo every two weeks, but I’ll still work, still work out … still #LIVESTRONG,” Scott tweeted. “Thanks for [the] prayers … I’ll fight with all cancer survivors and loved ones. Cancer wants to re-appear … picked the right guy cuz I HIT HARD all day long!!”
ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys adds that Scott “plans to continue to work the best he can around his treatments.”
Scott, 47, was first diagnosed with a cancerous malignancy in 2007 and underwent chemotherapy.
