E! host Giuliana Rancic may have jumped the gun on one rumor during her network’s red carpet coverage of the Golden Globes.

During Countdown to the Red Carpet, Rancic suggested that A-list actress Anne Hathaway might be pregnant with her first child. “Rumors are that Anne Hathaway may be pregnant … That’s the buzz on the street right now, which, if true that may be the ultimate award season good luck charm,” the TV personality shared.

Unfortunately, Rancic’s claim was erroneous. “Giuliana spilled nothing! It was very irresponsible what E! did and shame on Giuliana for saying something like that on TV when no one even called to check,” Anne’s rep tells RumorFix. “She is not pregnant.”

Just days before, Life & Style also reported Hathaway was expecting, which is where Rancic may have gotten her info. But as we reported last week, Life & Styles report is inaccurate.
