Why Kim Kardashian Won’t Give Back Her Engagement Ring

Etiquette dictates that an engagement ring should be returned when a wedding is called off regardless of who broke the engagement, so should Kim Kardashian give back the $2 million ring that Kris Humphries gave her?

If you said yes — Kris’ PR campaign is working.

Media outlets are reporting the divorce between NBA star and the reality star is being held up because he wants his 20.5-carat  engagement ring — designed by Lorraine Schwartz–  back.

But, RumorFix spoke to a source familiar with the prenup, who says “As Kris knows, Kim gets to keep the engagement ring. Kris knows they have to stick to what the prenup says, but he just wants to continue to put these false rumors out.”

      It makes no sense as to why Kim would want to keep the ring.  She has soooo much money.  Kris has nothing compared to Kim’s fortune.  Plus, you always get rid of the exes jewelry, especially if you’re in another relationship. Unless she’s actually that greedy…..

      i dont know. i don’t feel a bit sorry for kris as he was in it for just as much fame as she was. Had you ever heard his name before she came along? I sure hadn’t and I’m guessing nobody else would’ve either unless really into basketball. if it says in the prenup about the ring then it is indeed hers and he knew that when he signed the dotted line. The only thing i would do is not keep it as a ring but have it melted and changed into a necklace, earrings or something because i’m sure a new husband coming in wouldnt want to see that ring on her finger!

      Actually, the “law” requires you to give back the ring! It’s a contract with the stipulation you ARE getting married. If you don’t get married, the ring is to be returned.

      Seriously, all he would have to do is ask, any court would make her give back the ring granted he paid for it himself.

         Ummmmm!!!  you do realize that the DID get married, that rule is if the wedding DOES NOT take place, so he has no standing in the courts with this, and if he signed a Pre- nuptual agreement that noted what would happen with the ring, then he has NO case.

        yeah, didn’t she wear the same ring back in 2008 for a paparazzi stunt? if she bought the ring herself back then, and then reused it to stage her marriage with kris humphries, of course she would refuse to give it back, because it does belong to her. but then she can’t state why she’s not giving it back, because it would confirm that the engagement was a sham. kris demanding she give back the ring is taunting her to expose her lies. bold move, kris.

      With all her millions, if she really wants to get with Kanye, just give the ring back!!!! How materialistic, ring over Kanye’s love/marriage. Put an end to it & get divorced. Unless she’s using it as an excuse for something???? He got herpes from her, you give him in ring.

      Kris is a big ridiculous baby, he knows exactly what that pre nup says, he is just doing this to try and embarrass Kim, in the end he will end up having to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in her lawyers fees as well as his own.  I hope it is worth it, Kim has moved on and is living her life and he is still sneaking and lying and hiding to date that look alike, who recently said  ON HER TWITTER that he was verbally abusive.  Why is she surprised? he was verbally abusive to to Kim.  I think it is in the prenup because they got a big discount on it based on her name and the show, that is why it was added to the prenup

      Why won’t she give back the ring? Simple the same reason she kept all the wedding gifts and returned them for cash,and then bought Rolex watches for her family. This is plain ole simple GREED, taught to her by non other than the GREED Queen herself Mrs. Jenner. In any case the 20 carat ring worth 2 million; well truth be told the stone is not high quality or it would have cost more like 10 million. Ms Kardashian is doing her level best to become the new Elizabeth Taylor ,but unfortunely she lacks several key attributes, style, class,acting ability ,a breathtakingly beautiful face and above all integrity .Result a no talent courteasan with a very large posterior almost as big as her makeup case.
