Tony Hawk came under fire Monday after he posted a photo on his Instagram of his helmet-less daughter going on a skateboard joy ride with her pro boarder father. And now Hawk is lashing back at his critics.

Taking to his Instagram account Wednesday, the skateboarding legend debuted yet another photo of himself riding with his four-year-old daughter, Kadence. The 44-year-old wrote a caption alongside the image:

“One more from yesterday. For those that say I endanger my child: it’s more likely that you will fall while walking on the sidewalk than I will while skating with my daughter.”

Tony is a great father, but his followers clearly didn’t like to see his daughter without shoes or a helmet while being flung in the air by her arms on a fast moving object. One angry commenter wrote, “Crash, split, blood! Put a helmet on her, moron!”
