Family and fans of Jenni Rivera, the Banda singer, pay tribute to her in a memorial service on Wednesday that they are calling a “celestial graduation” and RumorFix is streaming the service live.
Pedro Rivera Jr., one of her five brothers, is leading the service at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles.
“We will celebrate the graduation into heaven, with honors, of our beloved mother, daughter and sister,” the family said in a statement.
The 43-year-old mother of five and grandmother of two died December 9 in a northern Mexico plane crash that killed six others.
During her stellar career, Jenni sold more than 15 million copies of her 12 major-label albums.
