Earlier this month, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson appeared on ESPN’s First Take to reveal that he thought he deserved a second chance with ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada. The Basketball Wives star had been clear in press interviews that there was no way she would ever reconcile with the man who head-butted her following a heated dispute over his infidelity … but not so fast.
Evelyn’s tune took a dramatic switch last week when she confessed to RumorFix that she thought everyone deserved a second opportunity to right their wrongs. “I do believe in second chances,” the reality TV star shared. “I’m not bitter, things happen and yeah, I do believe in second chances. I would want somebody to give me a second chances, and you never know.”
Well, the start of that second chance may have just begun after Lozada appeared in court with Johnson on Monday morning to have a no-contact order between the two removed. Asked by a Florida judge if she was afraid of the football player, Lozada replied, “No.” The judge then granted the request, allowing the two to return to speaking terms.
Does all this mean that they’re headed towards reconciliation? At the moment, that’s question only Chad and Evelyn can answer. RumorFix spoke with someone close to Evelyn who tells us that they are clueless on what’s going through the Puerto Rican beauty’s mind.
