Teen Mom: Amber Portwood’s Daughter Joins Her In Jail

Amber Portwood’s 3-year-old daughter Leah is finally going to prison to visit her troubled mother.

The Teen Mom star’s baby daddy Gary Shirley took to his Facebook Tuesday afternoon to share the news:

“I had to find out for my daughter amber and myself if it was best for Leah to go where her mommy is and visit. I learned that it is the best thing for Leah and Amber. All the paperwork is finally in order so yes soon we will be visiting her. She’s doing a lot better a lot of stuff has be cleared between us things have settled down. (like muddy water) things are heading in the right direction. Thanks for support and in NO WAY was me not taking her to see her mom a control thing. JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT’S BEST FOR LEAH.”

The reality star is currently serving a five year sentence at Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana for drug and probation violations.

It’s sad that baby Leah has to visit her mother behind bars, but we hope this visit goes well.

      I think its great that Gary is taking Leah 2 see her mommy!! Amber needs 2 see her daughter as much as Leah needs 2 see her. I pray her & Gary can work their relationship out, and pray Amber dosnt let them down again.

      She’s had a lot of issues and growing up to do. Its very sad that she had to go to prison to realize it. But that’s what it takes for some people. Once you get set in a bad way its very hard to get out specially if you are addicted to drugs. I think she’s a great mom. She just was young with no support but gary. And all they did was fight. It hets to you.
