Whenever there’s an international catastrophe that threatens the lives of millions of people, some of us probably, foolishly we might add, look to celebrities for guidance. With Hurricane Sandy wreaking havoc across the East Coast, stars are taking to Twitter to offer up their words of wisdom and advice.
Lindsay Lohan writes, “WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i’m calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace.” We’ll make sure to pass that along to the people on the 9,000 flights that have been cancelled because of the natural disaster.
And Kim Kardashian, who is chilling in Miami, wants you to know she’s thinking of you East Coasters. “Back in Miami now. Missed the storm. I’m praying for everyone on the East Coast. I hope everyone is safe.”
And speaking of Kardashians, British comedian Ricky Gervais took the hurricane as a chance to diss Kim, tweeting, “This ‘Sandy’ who’s on TV all the time, and is blowing the entire east coast, I assume she’s a Kardashian right?”
And Alec Baldwin said it best when he added, “Sandy … that b*tch.”
Hurricane Sandy has already taken the lives of over 60 people in the Caribbean, could leave the 10 million without power in the United States and cause billions of dollars in damage.
