I guess this appeal to President Obama in June didn’t work.

RumorFix has confirmed that Amanda Bynes has been charged with two counts of hit-and-run by the LA City Attorney’s office.

The What I Like About You star is accused of smashing into two different cars at two different times (April and August) then allegedly fleeing the scene.

She is due to be arraigned on September 27. And we are told she doesn’t have to show up — but her attorney does.

She could be sentenced to jail for a total of a year and fined $2,000 if convicted on both charges.
