Michael Lohan: Lindsay Is “Doing Fine”

Lindsay Lohan, who was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident in New York on early Wednesday morning, is “doing just fine” her father tells RumorFix. Lindsay was taken into custody after allegedly clipping a man in her 2010 Porsche Cayenne at around 2:00 a.m. this morning.

It’s been one police run-in after another for LiLo, but the young starlet has quite the support system according to her father, Michael Lohan. He tells us that Linds called immediately following the accident, signaling a change for the positive in their troubled relationship. “I am soo happy that she had confidence in me [to call]! I love her, I will always be there for her and I am happy that she’s away ‘from other people’ and was not drinking.”

“I am also happy that Shawn Holley, Dave Feldman, Gavin, my lawyer, and our friend Ben Pietra were there for her!” he continued while speaking about his daughter’s legal team and friends.

Michael adds that the whole debacle last night is “very fishy,” but he’s relieved Lindsay is OK.

Lindsay was given a desk appearance summons. The NYPD adds that no alcohol was involved.
