Newly engaged couple Emily Maynard and Jef Holm just can’t seem to run from the nasty tabloid rumors.

The latest claim is that Holm has been unfaithful to Em by cheating with an ex girlfriend back in Utah, all while Maynard promised to give her future hubby half of her Bachelorette money in exchange for faking their romance and keeping up public appearances.

But it appears the couple has had enough of the so-called lies.

The mom-of-one told E! News, “We’re not perfect by any means, but we’re so happy. Most of our time, we spend it in Charlotte. So people there, they see us at the grocery store, and Target, and carpool, and they’re like, ‘OK this has to be legit’.”

Jef follows by saying, “The two biggest things are trust and communication when you’re in a situation like we are. She’s my best friend. We hang out together, we have fun. This is better than any relationship I’ve ever been in.”
