Green Day’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is headed to rehab for substance abuse, RumorFix has learned.  The announcement comes just days after the singer went on a profanity laced tirade during the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Billie exploded after his band’s set was allegedly cut short from 45 minutes to 25 minutes. ”You’re gonna give me one minute? I’ve been around since 198-f*cking-8,” the singer screamed after being notified while performing to wrap up.

“I’m not f*cking Justin Bieber, you motherf*ckers … You’ve gotta be f*cking joking. This is a f*cking joke. I got one minute — one minute left. Oh, now I got nothing left,” he screams before smashing his guitar and throwing the microphone.

In a statement to The Associated Press, Green Day apologized “to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival” and said its set was not cut short by Clear Channel, the host of the two-day festival.

      The thing about this is that he wasn’t expecting this rant to go THIS far. Everyone acts like he hasn’t flipped before. He’s gotten into a fight with a fan for being rude and flipped out many other times. WHY does it matter this time? Because it was at a mainstream music festival that’s why. He doesn’t need to “take a break” he just needs to go to rehab. He shouldn’t apologize for his rant. If I were him, I wouldn’t…His age has nothing to do with him getting mad. And his family knows or at least should know that he’s like this. All his family is worried about now is his substance-abuse and getting  him through it. Not the what people are referring to as a “meltdown”.
