Despite getting his estranged wife’s Evelyn Lozada is “happy” that her estranged husband Chad Johnson has agreed to a divorce.

Evelyn filed for divorce from the former NFL star last month, just days after he allegedly head-butted her in the face. Chad was arrested at the time, and just this week charged with misdemeanor battery; a charge he pled not guilty to on Thursday morning.

Chad had refused to sign off the divorce papers, but finally caved. A source close to Evelyn tells RumorFix, “Evelyn is very happy that he did.”

In wake of the alleged domestic abuse, Chad launched a very public campaign to win his wife’s affection back. The controversial athlete got Evelyn’s face tattooed on his leg, and had been spotted in public wearing t-shirts in public that were thought to be directed at his estranged wife. One of those shirts read, “I Just Wanna Love You.”
