Don’t let the smile fool you, pop princess Britney Spears is laying down the law as one of the new judges on X Factor, RumorFix is reporting.
Unlike her predecessor’s, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, the “I Wanna Go” singer is being called out by the harshest judge of all, Simon Cowell, for her ability to say ‘No’ to anyone who does not meet her seemingly high standards.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Cowell revealed that the Britney you thought you knew is not who is she as a judge:
“You are going to see a different side of her I mean you know her quite well, I didn’t know much about her before we did the show but she’s really really good and she’s mean … I don’t know what’s going on in her head Ryan, but she does say ‘No’ a lot compared to what we are used to where all the girls would say ‘Yes.’ She is quite hard to please.”
Having over a decade of experience in the music industry might contribute to the reason why she is not letting just anyone through to the next round.
Simon also shared that on the first day of filming he actually had to talk Brit Brit into staying on the show after she walked off:
“I mean she kinda freaked out on the first day but you know how all these girls do on the first day, it is a bit intimidating so she got nervous and um a bit anxious but ah, I suppose, and then she was fine.”
