We’ll find out soon if Lindsay Lohan will be charged with theft after she was implicated in the disappearance of expensive jewelry at a house party she recently attended.

RumorFix spoke to the Los Angeles Police Department and they told us that LAPD Hollywood detectives are almost done investigating the incident and will be turning the case over to the District Attorney’s office.  The DA’s office expects to announce whether or not they will be filing charges against the actress as early as Tuesday afternoon.

Lohan attended a party at a mansion in the Hollywood Hills on Saturday August 18th.  She brought along her assistant and two male friends that the homeowner didn’t know.  The crew stayed overnight at the house and the next day the owner discovered someone had stolen numerous pieces of high end jewelry.  Lilo and her friends were implicated as possible suspects.

This wouldn’t be the first time Lindsay was in trouble for a jewelry theft.  The Mean Girls star is still on probation from a theft case involving a necklace lifted from a Venice, California  jewelry store a year ago.
