While rumors are swirling that Nicki Minaj may be signing on to replace Steven Tyler on the American Idol judging panel, confirmed judge Mariah Carey has her own ideas as to who she wants sitting beside her on the popular singing competition.

The 42-year-old superstar seemed confused about the Minaj rumor and tweeted the show to ask  “What’s going on? need the info!!” then included a photo asking “What about this combo? : ) if we could ever get him to do it!”

Who was it?  None other that gorgeous singer/actor Lenny Kravitz.

Lenny seemed to love Mariah’s suggestion by tweeting her backl “girl, we’ve known each other since we were teenagers. How fun would that be?!”

Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz on the same American Idol judging table?  Now that would be appointment television!
