A rumor that Tony Scott took his own life on Sunday because he had inoperable brain cancer is false, RumorFix has learned. Scott committed suicide on Sunday afternoon by jumping from a San Pedro, California bridge, leading many to speculate as to why.
“Through a family spokesperson, we have been advised that Mr. Scott did not have brain cancer or (an) inoperable tumor,” LA County Chief Coroner Investigator Craig Harvey said late Monday.
Scott did leave a suicide note behind in his office, but the contents remain private.
