First Bill Nye the Science Guy, now Russell Brand … it’s been a busy couple days for celebrity death hoaxes.
Over the weekend, rumors spread that comedian Russell Brand had been killed in a snowboarding incident in Switzerland. The report surfaced on the Global Associated News website, the same website that has prematurely killed off a score of other celebrities in the past couple of years.
Thankfully for Brand, he was nowhere near Switzerland this weekend, and joked about the death rumor on Twitter, writing:
“Bloody hell. I better cancel the milk.”
He then attached a link to the article referenced above, showing that some celebrities can take death in stride.
