The burglary case against Lindsay Lohan has been dropped by the Los Angeles County Attorney, RumorFix has confirmed.
Sam Magid, who is a longtime friend of LiLo’s, reported a burglary at his home on Saturday, August 18, — he said cash, sunglasses and other items reportedly valued at $100,000 were missing from his home.
One of Sam’s friends identified Lindsay’s BMW as leaving the scene of the crime, but now no one is talking.
“We don’t have sufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt,” the DA’s office reports according to an evaluation worksheet obtained by RumorFix.

Here’s why the case fell apart:
- Magid and Lohan have “a longstanding relationship”
- The victims didn’t identify Lohan or her assistant, Gavin Doyle
- Potential eyewitnesses have refused to be involved
- None of the suspects (Lohan or Doyle) were found in possession of the stolen property
- The victims do not wish to pursue prosecution
If Lohan was charged, she would be in violation of her probation and her court problems would have started all over again.
