RumorFix has confirmed that Jessica Simpson’s father was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 10:05 p.m. Saturday night. Joe Simpson was pulled over by authorities in Sherman Oaks, California, law enforcement officials tell us.
Cops handcuffed the former minister and took him into custody, where he was spent the night behind bars before his release the following morning at 9:40 a.m. His bail was set at $5,000.
The case has since been handed over to prosecutors in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
