
Aaliyah’s family says that despite rumors, there will be no new official album featuring the late singer’s vocal … at least with their consent. This announcement comes on the heels of Canadian rapper Drake releasing a new track featuring himself and the deceased singer.

Shortly after “Enough Said” leaked, Aaliyah’s brother Rashad took to Aaliyah’s official Facebook page to confirm that their family will not support a project executive produced by Drake, or any other producer looking to use the singer’s vocals.
“There is no official album being released and supported by the Haughton family,” Rashad wrote.

Earlier this week, Timbaland, who was a close friend of Aaliyah’s, said that he wouldn’t approve of any album featuring the singer that did not include himself and Missy Elliot in the process.
