Brooklyn rapper Fabolous (that’s how he spells it) says a rumor spread by MediaTakeOut that his mother passed away is a lie. Fab took to Twitter to dispel the cruel report that he may have inadvertently started.
“ FYI, my MOM did not die. Keep seeing tweets sayin’ RIP to my mom. Think some people misunderstood my Instagram pic’s caption,” the “Breathe” rapper wrote.
That caption read, “She held on as long as she could … my mom,” and features this picture of Fab as kid being held by his mother.
We see how MTO could have come to the conclusion that the rapper’s mother had passed, but this is why you always fact check, especially before publishing stories such as this.
