While Us Weekly reported Wednesday that The Bachelorette‘s Emily Maynard and fiance Jef Holm were on the verge of breaking up following an alleged cheating scandal, Jef proved on Thursday that those rumors were far from the truth.

Thursday was Emily’s daughter Ricki’s first day of school. Not only were Jef and Emily there to accompany the adorable child on her big step. but Ricki’s paternal grandparents — NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick and his wife Linda — were also there for their granddaughter’s milestone.

Along with a group picture posted on Instagram, Jef wrote, “First day of first grade was a success. Met the Hendricks, nicest people ever”

So not only is the couple most definitely still together, he’s already meeting his future in-laws!

Jef also debunked statements made by bis brother Mike that he’d witnessed the big blowup between the two lovebirds over alleged steamy pics and texts sent to Emily by another man.  Jef said “it’s crazy what people will do, even family members, to see their name in a magazine.”
