Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell’s on-camera feud in The Campaign has turned into the real thing, Star magazine reports. The comedians, who star in an upcoming film about two politicians campaigning against each other in a small town election, have been at odds on the set after Galifianakis allegedly went postal on his co-star.
A “set insider” says that Ferrell and Galifianakis’ friendship “has collapsed on the set of The Campaign. They’ve been buddy-buddy the whole shoot, then Zach exploded at the 11th hour, after they were called in to do reshoots.
It was shocking to see them bickering so openly—they used to be best friends! It’s very obvious that these two are not the friends they used to be. The tension between them is so thick, you could cut it with a knife!”
A rep for Ferrell tells RumorFix that the claim is the product of “someone’s stupid imagination,” and ultimately, “Utter BS.” Meanwhile, a rep for Galifianakis adds that when it comes to this story, there is “No truth, whatsoever, at all.”
