Terrell Owens coughed up some serious dough in child support on Thursday during his court appearance in Atlanta, Georgia.
A rep for the NFL player confirmed to RumorFix he paid off the money he owed in child support to his baby mama Melanie Smith.
“We are pleased with how court went today. Ms. Smith has been paid her child support due.”
This is a change from last week when Owens failed to show in court, forcing the judge to threaten him with jail time if he didn’t show again. To be fair, Owens claims his attorney didn’t tell him about the court appearance — he has since been removed from the case.
The NFL free agent is also taking care of Smith’s fees for legal counsel. At one point, it was reported that Terrell was paying upwards of $45,000 a month in child support to his four baby mamas.
