Robert Pattinson Cancels Press Appearance?

Is Robert Pattinson going to be coming out of hiding soon?

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Twilight star has canceled a press appearance to promote his upcoming film, Cosmopolis, in the wake of a cheating scandal involving his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart and director Rupert Sanders.

E! reports the studio had tentatively scheduled a press junket in LA for the movie during the August 10 weekend, but the plans have now been scrapped.

But late Tuesday, Pattinson’s rep released a statement to RumorFix saying, “Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting. No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate.”

As of now the premiere is scheduled in New York for August 13.

Both Stewart and Sanders released statements admitting to the affair and reports say Pattinson moved out of the house he shared with Stewart and they are no longer talking.
