Robert Blake Today: “God Forgive Foolish Lost World”

Posted on July 12th, 2012 at 5:28 pm
True

If you thought Robert Blake was a little loco on Piers Morgan Tonight on Wednesday, we’d love to hear what you think of him on  RumorFix today.

First of all — we think you will agree — a 78-year-old man shouldn’t be wearing sleeveless motorcycle shirts in public. (What you do at home is none of our business.)

Wait until you hear what Mr. Blake had to say to our cameraman.

But first some background:

The actor, who gained fame in The Little Rascals and Baretta, exploded while being interviewed by Morgan Thursday. The CNN host questioned whether Blake was telling the truth about details surrounding the death of his wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley.

That set off the actor who was acquitted of his wife’s murder, so he fired back saying, “Well, tell me where I’m lying, because if you don’t know I’m telling you the truth, then you must have a little scratch in the back of your head about where I’m lying. Tell me where I’m lying.”

When a RumorFix cameraman caught up with the In Cold Blood actor on Thursday, we asked if he wanted to add anything to the interview. He said, “Yes,” then delivered this bizarre and rambling monologue:
“God save the children.
God have mercy on the children.
God forgive the foolish, foolish lost world.”
When asked, “What does that mean?” Wearing a cowboy hat and a T-shirt that reads, “Screw it, Let’s Ride,” he stepped into his car and drove away.

    • A. Guest

This is what a 11 year old living in a 78 year old body looks like.    And I have watched the reports on what happened with his estranged wife and I do believe he killed her and got away with it.

      • Katie

         total agreement !

Robert you defended your self well, who is he to take a run at you. You have been threw hell and back and are still standing. You had everything you worked for taken away wrongfully from a corrupted system. From police to justice system to a women who karma caught up to her for trying to rip off everyone. I pray you find peace and get a chance to make that final film. You
have achieved a great deal in your life with all odds against you. You have entertained millions and no one can take that away from you. It is unfortunate that most people in this world are haters and jealous blood hounds. God bless kind regards Billy K

Mr.Piers does not know how to interview.  Mr. Piers does not appear very personable but rather aloof and arrogant.  He does not have the talent to connect with the person being interviewed.  His questions were old passe ones and of course Mr. Blake was fed up with something already discussed in the media over and over.  God only will judge us all,  I hope that for everyone this story affects, the right thing will be done for the sake of his young daughter.

You are correct, Annuzi… . Please see my response under R.W. below. Pierce Morgan is no Larry King.   R.W.

Shame on Piers…He was disrespectful to a great actor who’s been through HELL. I wish all the best for Mr. Blake and wish he get another movie that does him justice. As for the article listed above, who cares what the man is wearing…it’s not important but Rumorfix is obviously superficial and written by a shallow dumb writer! Blessings to Robert Blake…you’re a great actor!

    • Dawn Lily

He is losing it more and more…I mean I guess it’s expected when you’ve gone through all the things he has in life. He should just try and keep his mouth shut and save face

Go back and watch some of his interviews from Baretta days…he has always been “different”. I feel bad for him.

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs

Robert Blake is crazy and I believe he is cold and heartless and I totally believe he killed Bonny!! He keeps dancing around who killed his late wife, but he doesn’t want to talk about her or her death until forced.

He is now and has been for some time a has been and obviously is bitter! He also seems to me to be blaming his childhood for his life actions and who he is!!!

    • kandi

I watched the Robert Blake interview with sadness. He looked like “he was rode hard and put up wet”. I think he wanted to talk about the good things in his life, but it was clear that Pierce had an agenda. I think Pierce should have been more respectful. Robert has always been a little different, but he is a human being with a heart. I f you respect and know the subject well, there should be other ways to talk to him.

    • frankenpeter

Get rid of piers, bring back larry king. Piers is just another arrogant, know it all brit. God bless you robert.

    • Robertlsands

Blake kept control and stayed on point. Our Englishman spent the whole hour red in the face and distressed, losing control of the interview. Blake is now my personal hero. Somebody should grant him a last wish and let him star in a wonderful movie.

    • betty

I’m 72 yrs of age and have loved everything Robert has ever done in the acting profession but I did not like the way he behaved on the Piers show. I think his book would make a better than great movie but no producer is going to leave out the parts about Bonnie and also directors are going to be afraid that Robert will be dificult to work with. He’s going to have to tone it down and get rid of the feeling that everyone is out to hurt him! Having said that, I still love him a feel for him. I wish him nothing but peace!!! Betty Heuthorst

Kudos to Bobby Blake in his recent interview with Piers Morgan. Mr. Blake is a fighter and Charlie Potatoes certainly met his match. If an agreement to any interview is to discuss contents of a book and contents of a book only, then by any gentlemens’ agreement, that’s what the interview should entail. Piers Morgan and his cronies purposefully deviated from that agreement in an effort to trap Robert Blake into a corner. I honestly do not understand how CNN can consider Piers Morgan as any type of replacement for Larry King… hopefully they do not look at it in that light. Piers Morgan has a major problem. He does not know how to listen, much less interview. He usually answers his questions before his interviewee has a chance to respond. If he doesn’t get the answer he wants or if it comes too slow in accordance with what he perceives as his own intellect, he is off with another question. He is arrogant and he patronizes people. He considers these tactics crutial to an interview. I will stop short in calling him a jerk. Larry King was the ultimate listener… without ego and without judgement. You heard his guests speak. A proper question to Robert Blake would have been what are your plans for the future? (or) What type of role would you like to be in? (or) Who would you like to work with, both director and actor? What would you like for your legacy to be? All of these would have been good questions… of course if Mr. Potatoes did not try to step in and answer the questions for Baretta. Hopefully some movie producer and director will pick up Mr. Blake and give him another chance. He was and is a great actor.

Piers was cruel. Maybe one day he will be treated without mercy or kindness as a fellow person doing their best at life. I hope he gets to experience how that feels. I will never watch him again because of his considerable meanness.
