Rick Springfield DUI Trial Set

Former teen heartthrob Rick Springfield is fighting a DUI charge from May.

The 62-year-old, who is age defying, was stopped in Los Angeles on May 1 for suspicion of drunken driving. He had originally been stopped for a traffic violation, but cops smelled alcohol and asked him to perform some sobriety tests. They say he blew .10 and .08 on the breathalyzer. The legal limit in California is .08.

The rocker known for “Jessie’s Girl,” was not in Malibu court on Wednesday, but because of an earlier not guilty plea, the judge has ordered a jury trial sometime after August 9, RumorFix has learned.
