In a sense, Katie Holmes divorce filing was her coming out party.

Every day since the Batman Begins actress filed for divorce, she has left her home and hasn’t avoided the paparazzi constantly on her tail.

Most days she has a big fat smile planted on her face. She even told reporters on Friday, “I’m all right — thank you.”

On Friday and Saturday, she spent marathon sessions with her divorce attorneys reportedly to hammer out a settlement with estranged husband Tom Cruise.

And, on Monday, she left her upscale Chelsea apartment to shop at the Whole Foods on the first floor of the building. The same building that Tom’s ex Penelope Cruz used to live in.

Katie seems to be able to go on with her life even in the glare of the constant cameras, as for six-year-old Suri, she now seems to be camera shy.
