A Colorado woman may have escaped death after deciding at the last minute to switch theaters on Friday morning for a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises.

At least 12 people are dead and nearly 40 injured after a gunman opened fired during a screening of the film. This is a ticket stub from a patron who chose not go to the 9th cinema screening where the shooting happened. A woman named Jaime Marshall said “We had bought tickets to 9 but decided to sit in 8 with our friends instead. We are very blessed.”

Police have arrested the suspect.

A premiere for the film in Paris has also been scrapped; and media interviews with the film’s director and cast have been put on hold as well.
