R&B singer Frank Ocean is coming out, admitting that his first love was a man. The Odd Future singer made the shocking revelation on Wednesday morning, posting an entry on his Tumblr about his “first love.”
Rumors that Frank was bisexual went viral earlier this week after a post went up on the blog This Is Max. The blog referenced lyrics from Frank’s upcoming album, Channel Orange, in which Ocean referenced having feelings for a “he” instead of a “she.”
Frank’s coming out letter, titled “Thank You’s,” details a relationship he had with a mystery man, who it turns out had a girlfriend just as Frank did at the time, and the turbulent emotions that followed.
“Four summer ago, I met somebody. I was 19-years-old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide,” he writes.
“By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping. No negotiating with the feeling.”
“He wouldn’t tell me the truth about his feelings for me for another 3 years,” Ocean continues, adding, “I couldn’t imagine keeping up my life without him.”

Ocean’s Channel Orange is slated for a July 17 release.
