True

Melanie Griffith’s career is getting back on track.

On Sunday the 54-year-old wrapped up her return to the stage in the Burbank, California production of  No Way Around But Through.

And, on Monday, Antonio Banderas’ wife returned to television in a new series called DTLA,  a gay scripted drama from the producers of the L Word.

Only RumorFix has a picture from the set, where Melanie plays Sandra Bernhard’s ex lesbian lover.  We hear Sandra asked her long-time friend to play the role.

Melanie recently revealed that she took a break from showbiz for a few years because she was working on her recovery from cocaine and alcohol abuse.

From what we can tell, she’s looks better than ever and is on her game!

DTLA premieres on Canada’s OUTtv network in October, while several US networks are vying for the show.

I love Melanie, and missed seeing her. Way to go on your recovery Melanie….. I too am in recovery. Don’t let anyone put you down, cause girlfriend, there are so many hypocrites who are in need of help, yet live in denial.  You were so great in  ‘ WORKING GIRL”,  and ‘CRAZY IN ALABAMA”,  and the movie with James Woods, the title I can’t remember.  Anyhow, look forward to seeing your work in the future.  You still got it going on…… wishing you nothing but the very best, to you and your husband Antonio and the children…. hugs, Melissa H. from Baltimore MD.
