Rodney King, a symbol of racial unrest and tension in LA, was buried Saturday after a public memorial service.
The Rev Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy for the 47 year old, who was found dead in his swimming pool on June 17.
King family spokeswoman Kali Bowyer tells RumorFix Dr. Drew Pinsky, who had Rodney on Celebrity Rehab and Sober House, was scheduled to attend the services along with the Wayans Brothers and Alicia Keys. Dr. Drew tweeted to one of King’s children, “Dene, I will miss your dad. I know how you loved him.”
Although Rialto police have said they don’t suspect foul play, they are still awaiting results from toxicology tests to determine his cause of death.
Sources say the coroner doesn’t believe King died by drowning, however the coroner’s office would not confirm that information to RumorFix.
Although King was awarded a $3.8-million settlement following the police beating as of April he said he was broke.
