British royal Prince Philip was released from a London hospital on Saturday, a day before his 91st birthday.
The Duke of Edinburgh sought medical treatment for a bladder infection on Monday, causing him to miss the star-studded Diamond Jubilee concert held outside Buckingham Palace on Monday night to mark his wife Queen Elizabeth II’s 60-year reign.
He spent five nights in the hospital and on Saturday was discharged from the facility. Prince Philip smiled and waved at well-wishers, and also thanked the staff at the hospital for their care.
