It looks like the people who start celebrity death rumors on Twitter have moved on from singers and actors to wrestlers. On Friday morning, rumors that the former WWE champion died began going viral, but RumorFix has learned the rumors are bogus.
Unfortunately for Cena, this isn’t the first time the Internet has taken his life prematurely. Back in March 2011, there were rumors that the wrestler had been shot and killed. At the time he tweeted:
“CeNation. Apparently last night I was shot dead by a group of thugs. I also was apparently owned by The Rock. Both just internet rumor.”
Good to see he has a sense of humor about these kinds of things.
