The NBC executive producer that started a rumor about Kim Kardashian being smitten with NFL star Robert Griffin III tells RumorFix exclusively that he was just kidding.

The “smitten” rumor started after 30 Rock’s Jack Burditt revealed during a podcast interview that Kardashian was very inquisitive about the Washington Redskins quarterback during a taping for the NBC sitcom. Kim and RG3 were both on set during the 30 Rock taping, and that’s when Kim start asking Burditt questions about the football star.
“It was very innocent, it was completely innocent. She was just asking a lot of questions about RG3 and I was just making a joke out of it and that’s it, it was nothing. She was not making a move on RG3. There was nothing of that sort. This thing has been blown out of proportion.”
The producer, who tells us he enjoyed having Kim on the show because she was very nice and sweet while taping , sends an apology to the reality star for the misinterpreted reports.” My apologies to Kim Kardashian if she’s upset about it. “

But Mr. Burditt confirms he’s no liar, telling RumorFix, “What I said in the podcast is 100% true. She was asking a lot of questions about RG3, but in an innocent way. She was not making a play towards RG3, she was just curious as to who the guy is. I was surprised she was unaware of the football world overall, because I thought she knew that world, especially after dating Reggie Bush”
