Gary Shirley: I’m Determined To Be The Best Father For Leah

Amber Portwood’s baby daddy, Gary Shirley, has full custody of their three-year-old daughter and the reality star is trying to deal with what had to be a tumultuous 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the Teen Mom was sentenced to five years in prison for a December 2011 drug arrest . She had struck a plea bargain to go to rehab, but the troubled 22-year-old asked to be sent to prison — and that’s what she got.

Gary’s response: “Today was an unfortunate one to say the least.”  Leah’s dad, who now has full custody, writes, “Determined to be the best and bring the best to Leah.”
He also thanks his fans, “Appreciate your guys’ ongoing support, I really do.”
While he’s taking the high road, Gary wants his fans to do the same, “Now isn’t the time to bash or express hate on someone as the damage has already been done.”
This is the last season for MTV’s Teen Mom– and now Amber will have to watch the show from her prison cell.

      Gary was a 20 year old man having sex w/a 15 year old child…whom he got pregnant at 16. Gary Shirley is 95% responsible for the fall of Amber. …and his.mother facilitated. The sad thing is when Amber asked her for help she said she didn’t want to get involved between her & Gary. Yet…she gave them a place to have sex when she was 15 & 16. Sadly, Amber is a victim.
