Is actress Hilary Duff a smoker?!

Paparazzi snapped pictures of Duff holding a lit cigarette outside a Los Angeles pub on Friday.

But the 24-year-old wife of retired ice hockey player Mike Comrie, and mom to baby Luca, insists the photo is misleading!

The new mother took to her Twitter to debunk the nasty rumor:

Yikes me holding a cigarette for my friend might have been a bad idea! pretty bummed about the photo.. Sorry guys, looks worst than it is!

The former Disney Star, who gave birth to her first child in March, told US Weekly she has been working hard to lose her baby weight in a healthy way.

We’re glad she is trying to remain a good role model!

      for a friend? when do you hold a cig fr your friend? cmon you can think of a better excuse than that hilary

        I always do actually. When you frequent nightclubs and bars, it’s common to be asked to hold a cigarette for many reasons, such as while your friend digs into her purse to find keys, your friend goes to use the bathroom, your friend has to adjust their wardrobe, etc…

      Personally I think she is trying too hard these days for attention The cig just a ploy & it worked then she goes on Bethany & talks about eating all this juck food & it was a blast while pregnant yet when pregnant it was all about eating healthy.. Seems to me she can’t have it both ways but the talk these days is geared to overeating whilel pregnant so she wants to be part of that.. Its hard to relate to someone that isn’t consistent.. There is also another little blurb out there where she is not excited about sex after baby. When was the last time or ever you ever heard Hilary talk like this. She changed management teams since baby birth & obviously is trying to change her image & she may want some endorsements.. Her PR team is trying to say she was offered WW but turned it down.. Lets rethink that too. WW talks to many celebs before they decide who to do buisness with. Hilary has about 1 million following on twitter for example & Jessica has 5.2 million.. Who woudl you do buisness with to get your product out there..

       IM not knocking Hilary but she has to stop with trying so hard for attention.. She is losing her way.
