30 Rock star Alec Baldwin got into a physical altercation with a New York Daily News photographer on Tuesday.

The incident went down as Baldwin was leaving a NY courthouse with his fiancée Hilaria Thomas. Baldwin, who had just obtained his marriage license, got into the alteration after he claims the photog, Marcus Santos, nearly hit him with his camera. Baldwin says he pushed Santos out of the way.

He then tweeted about the incident, writing:

"A 'photographer' almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning ... I suppose if the offending paparazzi was wearing a hoodie and I shot him, it would all blow over," he wrote, referencing the Trayvon Martin drama unfolding in Florida.

And just moments ago, a rep for Baldwin issued this statement to RumorFix about the showdown:

"As Alec and his fiancée were leaving City Hall, a 'civilian' walking in front of Alec positioned himself to obstruct the view of a photographer aggressively trying to shoot the couple. The photographer was clearly frustrated, pushed past the bystander and assaulted Alec with his camera. There were no punches thrown, and any subsequent physical contact was simply Alec protecting himself."

Alec's latest drama is just one of many documented by the press in 2012. Earlier this year, the actor went on a Twitter rampage against an airline after a stewardess kicked him off a flight for not shutting off his phone. And just months ago, Baldwin also went on a Twitter rant against NBC after a Today producer and photographer allegedly tried to ambush him at his house.
