Will Smith: Why I Slapped That Reporter Who Kissed Me

For the first time, Will Smith is explaining why he felt the need to slap a Ukranian reporter during the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3 and RumorFix has all the details.

Check out this video from last week — you can see two different angles of Will slapping that poor reporter.

Will tells David Letterman Tuesday night that the reporter did a bait and switch on him — the journalist said, “Man I’m you’re biggest fan, can I have a hug?” Will obliged then things went really sour. “I go to give this joker a hug,” he tells Dave, “and he tries to lean in to try to kiss me .. it’s just awkward Dave.”

Will says the event promoters apologized for the reporting, “They said, ‘We’re sorry, you know — it’s just his shtick.’ And that’s why his ass got shtuck!”
