Chris Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran made a lot of young girls jealous earlier this month when she tweeted out a picture of what appeared to be an engagement ring, with the caption:

“Kind of speechless right now…”

Tran also tweeted out another image of her wearing a different ring which also came from Brown. But the ring, RumorFix has learned, isn’t an engagement ring, but rather a birthday present. “He did give her the rings,” his rep explains, “but I am told they are not engaged, just very happy.”

It’s funny that now Brown and Tran are rumored to be engaged by the tabloids when just a couple of months ago, the R&B singer was rumored to be eloping with his ex, Rihanna. Just more evidence you can’t believe everything you read in the trash mags.
