The scandal involving John Travolta and multiple massage therapists is changing by the minute, so we at RumorFix want to sort everything out for you.
- John Doe #1 — Okorie Okorocha insists to RumorFix that he’s not abandoning the 43-year-old masseur, who claims Travolta tried to have sex with him at the Beverly Hills Hotel on January 16. Okorocha wants another attorney to help him with the case. John’s pit bull attorney, Marty Singer, has successfully tried the case in the media proving that Travolta was in New York on January 16 — providing RumorFix with a restaurant receipt and pictures of a fitting from that date. Okorie has since said that his client had the wrong date.
UPDATE #1 On Tuesday, May 15, 2012 Okorocha filed papers asking for dismissal of the John Doe #1 case.
UPDATE #2 On Wednesday May 15, 2012, High-Powered Attorney Gloria Allred tells RumorFix she is now representing John Doe #1.
- John Doe #2 –– Inside Edition reports the Atlanta-based massage therapist is a married man with children and worked at what is now the Atlanta Mandarin Hotel. Another therapist from that spa is claiming that Travolta was banned from the spa. RumorFix called the spa, but they would not confirm nor deny the allegations. RadarOnline is reporting that Okorocha, who also reps John Doe #2, is willing to accept a $250,000 settlement. But in a phone call to RumorFix, Okorocha adamantly denies he ever said that — he says he’s never discussed a settlement with Singer or his client –so he couldn’t respond to the $250k figure. Radar stands by its story. Okorocha also tells RumorFix he wants this case to be a “private trial, where no one gets transcripts and no more details are revealed.”
- Cruise Ship Steward Fabian Zanzi claims Travolta requested a neck massage from him in 2009 and he filled out an incident report obtained by TMZ. But now, Fabian tells Splash News that the encounter was much more than described in the incident report. He now claims Travolta opened his robe and gave Fabian a big hug while his penis was erect — and offered him $12,000 for silence. RumorFix has reached out to Fabian, but has not been able to substantiate the claims. Singer tells TMZ, “The incident report now confirms Mr. Zanzi fabricated his story about my client. He never stated that my client did anything wrong.”
UPDATE On June 21, 2012 as exclusively reported by RumorFix, Zanzi filed suit against Travolta.
- Massage Therapist Michael Caputo reportedly told the New York Daily News that “inappropriate behavior” got Travolta banned from the Peninsula Spa in New York. A source close to Caputo tells RumorFix the Daily News misquoted the massage therapist and that he never met Travolta and DID NOT say that the swanky hotel spa banned Travolta.
