What happened to Mr. Nice Guy Will Smith?

The Men in Black 3 actor was walking the red carpet for the Moscow premiere of his movie when Smith slapped the face of a reporter.

A TV reporter from the Ukraine kissed Smith on one side of the face then another — and set off the actor.

“Oh man, What the hell is your problem buddy?” Smith said to the reporter then pushes and slaps him.

Smith laughs about it and tells another reporter, “He tried to kiss me on the mouth. The joker  He’s lucky I didn’t try to sucker punch him. … Sorry, I said that on camera. Ha Ha Ha. No it’s all good.”

No reaction from Will Smith’s camp yet.

      The reporter tried to kiss him. I would have done a lot more then a gentle slap.

      Okay people here’s the deal!

      In other countries it’s not odd to kiss someone once on each side of the face! I don’t think Will anticipated the second kiss and confused it for a ‘bait and switch’!

      I vote yes Will overreacted! The reporter wasn’t aggressively pulling him in, he simply turned to kiss Will’s other side of his face! Which is very common in many places in the world! In fact it’s a term of endearment NOT a sexual intention!

      Will, did you ever consider that?!!

      I think Will Smith just didn’t understand the Gesture. This wssn’t so much mean spirited, nor are either of them at fault, it’s just a bit of Cultural Clash.
