RumorFix has learned exclusively that Tareq Salahi has dropped his lawsuit against his estranged wife Michaele Salahi.
Tareq was suing Michaele and her boyfriend, Journey guitarist Neal Schon, for $50 million alleging that Journey and the couple are profiting off of Tareq’s misery. “All of these Defendant’s conspired with each other to gain media attention and bolster ticket sales for the band Journey while causing damage to your Plantiff [Tareq],” the original court documents read.
But in new court documents obtained by RumorFix on Wednesday morning, Tareq has removed Michaele’s name from the lawsuit.
“Tareq is taking her off because he wants to move forward with his life and wants to wrap up this divorce as soon as possible,” a source close to the situation tells RumorFix. “And by taking her off, he can move forward with the divorce, get the divorce done and finish the financial obligations that Journey interfered with, and settle with them in due time.”
Tareq, who is also running for governor, may have had a change of heart about suing his wife, but he’s still suing Journey, DD Entertainment and Neal Schon.
