True

Just two weeks after two black men accused The Bachelor and The Bachlerotte of racial discrimination, ABC announced that a contestant vying for Emily Maynard’s love is African American.

PICTURES: Meet Emily Maynard’s 25 Bachelors

We don’t know much about the contestant so far, but we can tell you this:

  • His name is Lerone
  • He’s 29
  • He’s a real estate consultant
  • He lives In Laguna Beach, California
  • He has zero tattoos

Nathaniel Claybrooks and Christopher Johnson claim that they were denied a chance to appear on the popular dating show because they were black and they filed a lawsuit against ABC, the production company and the producer of the franchise.

Because of TV lead times, it appears that ABC cast Lerone well before the lawsuit was filed.

He is… too bad he got eliminated on the first night… he looked kinda down to earth though

Black people are always complaining about something.

      • Penelope

Very true!  Some black people are always complaining about something.  Then again, some white people are always complaining about something!  You sound like one of them!!

The Bachelor is basically a matchmaking show. If the person that does the picking is not attracted to people of color than why would the producers include someone that is black.  Crazy! These two man that accusing the show are just looking to stir some trouble

Not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

You know what’s the big deal. I have had a relationship with a black man, a Mexican, Mexican Indian to be exact, Filipino and some Heinz 57′s. (I am not sure that expression is politically correct or not.) I haven’t however dated a Japanese or Chinese man. That is because it’s just not my thing. You don’t hear Asians saying oh shouldn’t like because I’m Asian you don’t your Mexican saying oh you know she’s discriminating against me because I’m Mexican it’s ridiculous. Why don’t you get over yourself. I’m sure there are plenty black men in Black women that are not attracted to white men or women. There are probably black men and women that I’m not attracted to Mexicans. Why can’t we all have our own preferences, without it being a racial thing? If I have left out any ethnicities in this post, I apologize it was not because I am discriminating against you. But I’m sure you already know that. And by the way… I don’t dislike Obama because he is black, I just like him because he’s a freaking idiot.

Sounds like racism to me-then again you probably class certain people as humans and others as not humans

In the end they eliminated the only black man in the show who never would have made it anywhere in the first place to begin with.  Another racist moment for TV land
