RumorFix has confirmed that legendary TV producer/host Dick Clark has been cremated.
Clark’s family was following his wishes when they decided not to hold a funeral for the man who created American Bandstand, the American Music Awards and the $100,000 Pyramid.
ET is reporting that Clark’s ashes will be scattered over the Pacific Ocean.
We are told by Clark’s long-time rep, Paul Shefrin, that Clark’s family hasn’t decided on a a public memorial for “America’s Oldest Teenager.’ But, Shefrin tells us if there is a family memorial it will be by “invitation only.” There’s talk the family may have an intimate memorial at one of Clark’s three Malibu homes.
Clark, who leaves behind a $100 million estate, died Wednesday at the age of 82.
