
With all the controversy concerning alleged racism in casting contestants for The Bachelorette, RumorFix decided to break down the cast members to see exactly how many people of color have appeared on the show.
And it doesn’t look good — over eight seasons, there have been very minorities on the show.

From what we can tell, there’s just one black person – a guy called Jeffrey, who appeared in Season Four with DeAnna Pappas. Other than that there are two Latino men – Juan Barbieri in Season Five, and Roberto Martinez from Season Six.
That’s just three out of over 200 contestants!
Interestingly enough, Ryan “Mickey” McClean from Ashley Hubert’s season of The Bachelorette writes if he could be someone else for a day, he would be “An African American male. I think it would be interesting to see things from a different race/ethnicity”
