Tammy Lynn Michaels is defending her ongoing battle with Melissa Etheridge, saying she is fighting to be treated fairly.
The 37-year-old wrote a blog post today in which she details how much money she was making before she chose to give up her career as an actress to be a stay-at-home mother for her and Melissa’s two children.
Tammy claims that she made $15,000 a week on the show Popular, which went up to $20,000 in season two.
“I’ll just be honest with all the lovely folk out there who think I made minimum wage before [meeting with] a former long-term partner,” says Tammy. “… grab a calculator, do the math, and one might see that I was financially doing PHENOMENALLY before I entered into a relationship where there was another person with money. When I was asked to stop actively seeking work, I was okay with that. There were kids that needed to be tracked and loved and taken care of. “

Tammy adds that she also made $325,000 from her show Committed and $50,000 for other miscellaneous TV show parts, with everything adding up to almost $2 million since 2008:
“So let’s add it up and see if I have made NOTHING in life….. or if my “somethings” ONLY CAME FROM SOMEONE ELSE. Ha. don’t think so … Tell me why I have no right to money I made? Tell me why I have no right to half of the “business” I ran and operated for almost 10 years.”
Tammy and Melissa broke up in April of 2010 after nine years together.
